In 2013 the 36th Annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show & Plant Sale will be held at The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg on May 11th & 12th. This years theme is "May Magic", featuring plants growing in the Botanical Gardens and many favorites found locally.

This is a juried show and one of the largest on the west coast with over 700 entries entered annually. The show includes flower trusses, plants, bonsai, photos and floral arrangements of rhododendrons. Everyone is welcomed to enter.

Those wishing to enter should bring their entries to the Gardens on Thursday, May 9th, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and on Friday, May 10^th, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Chapter Members will assist in filling out entry forms at check in. Judging will take place starting at 3:00 PM Friday. All winning entries will be rewarded with ribbons and some will be awarded trophies. Judges come from outside of the area.

The show opens to the public at 9:00 AM Saturday, closing at 5:00 PM, and continues 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.

Local growers and members will be on hand at the Plant Sale from 9 to 5 Saturday and 9 to 5 Sunday to assist in answering questions and purchasing plants. There will be ongoing raffles, a silent auction, refreshments, educational displays and more throughout the show!

Admission is free to this lovely event
