Celebrity Judge - Kathryn Hall

Kathryn Hall is an internationally known book publicist, who has spent the major part of over three decades promoting books designed to make a difference, expressed in her popular tagline, “Changing the world one book at a time.”

Kathryn is also a writer, a passionate gardener, a devoted mother, a keen Nature observer and an animal lover. She holds a B.A. in English from Kent State University and did graduate work in the field of Social and Cultural Anthro-pology at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. She was the contributing health writer for The Financial Times Guide to Business Travel (Financial Times/Prentice Hall, London).

With over 400 vireyas Christy has the largest collection of vireyas in California.  Additionally, he has 60 other rhododendrons.  He speaks often to other chapters.

Although he lives in Marin Co. Larry has long been associated with the Noyo Chapter.  He works at the Sunnyside Nursery in San Anselmo.  On Larry’s account, for many years Sunnyside has supported the Noyo Chapter with donations of plants for our sale and raffles.  He’s judged our Show numerous times, most recently in 2005.

Erika Enos

Erika is a realtor on the Peninsula.  She moved to the Bay Area and bought her home in the early 80’s.  Coming from Chicago it’s been a delight for her to practice her gardening skills all year long.  She feels blessed and cursed with shade in both her front and rear yard.  As a result she’s developed her azaleas and rhododendrons.  She’s been active in the DeAnza Chapter having served twice as president and currently is writing their newsletter.

Nan Ray

Nan’s a very experienced and involved plant lover.  She’s been active in the leadership of the DeAnza Chapter for years.  She volunteered at and instructed docents at Filoli as well as being a full time docent.  Currently Nan’s works in the greenhouses at the Strybing Arboretum where she focuses on vireyas.  She is largely responsible for much of the vireya collection at the Arboretum.  She judges the Cal Chapter Show each year and has judged at the Noyo Show.
